We look forward to hearing from you.

Guru Puja (also known as Lama Chopa) encapsulates the essence of the Buddha’s teachings. In this practice we make offerings and supplicate for blessings on our Dharma path from the spiritual masters who have come before us.
Feel free to bring a tsog offering such as fruit, baked goods, or other individually wrapped edibles. For those students who do not have time to prepare offerings for Tsog, monetary offerings can be made for the Center to prepare on your behalf.

Yamantaka is a Highest Yoga Tantra practice, the wrathful form of Manjushri, the Buddha of wisdom. It is one of the principle meditational deities in the Gelug tradition. Yamantaka is practiced to help one conquer and transform negative emotions such as self-grasping and anger.

Under the direction of Tenzin Choephel Rinpoche and LCB parents, we continue our children’s program where children learn about Buddhism.
Sunday April 7 and 14 from 3:00 – 4:30pm (PDT)
This class is for students new to Buddhism. In this series, Tenzin Choephel Rinpoche will explain the foundational teachings of Buddhism, such as taking refuge, the Four Noble Truths, ethics, and the purpose and benefits of studying Buddhism as well as how to implement Buddhist principles into our daily lives.
Saturday April 13 at 3:30pm (PDT)
Khensur Rinpoche Lobsang Tsephel will give a Palden Lhamo empowerment for students. Palden Lhamo is one of the main Dharma Protectors of Tibetan Buddhism as well as all of the incarnations of the Dalai Lama. Although she appears in wrathful form, her ultimate nature is as a support and protector of those on the path of compassion.
Sunday April 28 starting at 10:00 am (PDT)
10am Tara puja
12 noon Potluck Lunch
1pm Center Cleaning
We will do Tara puja, which is practiced for protection and to clear obstacles on our path. The benefits of Tara practice are clearly explained in the praises of 21 Taras Sadhana that we chant.
Followed by a potluck lunch. Please bring some food to share like a vegetarian dish, fruit, or dessert, etc.
Center Cleaning
We request volunteers to join us for temple cleaning. Pabongka Rinpoche quotes in Liberation in the Palm of Your Hand, ” ‘dirt’ is not the dirt on the ground: It is the dirt of attachment.” Helping clean the center is not only a great opportunity to clean and beautify the temple but also to clear away one’s own self-grasping.
INSPIRATIONAL QUOTE
Strive at first to meditate
Upon the sameness of yourself and others
In joy and sorrow all are equal
Thus be guardian of all, as of yourself
